Some of these include:<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continued focus on remote working<\/h4>\n<p>With more and more companies allowing employees to work remotely, we can expect to see a continued focus on solutions that enable secure remote access and collaboration. This will include an emphasis on secure and cloud-hosted cybersecurity solutions <\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Greater use of AI and machine learning<\/h4>\n<p>As the volume of data generated by organizations continues to grow, we can expect to see more companies turning to AI and machine learning to help them make sense of it all. These technologies will be used to analyze data in real-time and identify threats that may have gone undetected by humans.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More emphasis on identity and access management<\/h4>\n<p>As cybercriminals become increasingly adept at stealing login credentials, we can expect to see an increased focus on identity and access management solutions that provide multi-factor authentication, passwordless access and adaptive authentication. Often these credentials are stolen through tactics like email impersonation (phishing) and social engineering. Implementing a DMARC protection solution like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metrofile.com\/cloud\/cloudnew\/sendmarc\">Sendmarc<\/a>\u00a0can help reduce these risks.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Increase in IoT (Internet of Things) security<\/h4>\n<p>The number of connected devices is expected to continue growing rapidly in 2023, which will lead to an increased focus on IoT security. This will include solutions that focus on secure device onboarding, real-time monitoring, and incident response.<br \/>*<em>IoT: (Internet of Things includes the physical devices all linked to the internet that exchange data with each other via their internet connection (ie: computers, phones, smart devices like fridges or air conditioners)<\/em><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cybersecurity regulations and compliance<\/h4>\n<p>As data breaches and cyber attacks continue to make headlines, we expect to see an increase in cybersecurity regulations and compliance particularly in regulated industries like finance and healthcare. In South Africa, we\u2019ve yet to reach a breaking point where the government has started cracking down on its POPIA act, but getting compliant with its terms regardless helps business owners secure their organisation further thanks to the things required to become compliant.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emphasis on security in the 5G ecosystem<\/h4>\n<p>With the continued roll-out of 5G networks, companies will focus more on securing these networks and the data being transmitted over them to prevent breaches and unauthorized access.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cloud security solutions will continue to be a growing area<\/h4>\n<p>As organisations move more of their infrastructure to the cloud, we can expect to see a continued emphasis on solutions that provide security in the cloud. This includes secure cloud access and multi-cloud security solutions.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-db7bceb7-3f34-447c-8a4e-48243b8ee358\">Overall, the cybersecurity industry is constantly evolving, and new technologies and threats are emerging all the time. As a result, companies need to be flexible and adaptable.
