Metrofile Socio-Economic Development
Transforming Lives, Investing in the Future
Building a Brighter Tomorrow, Today
Our South African Transformation Vision
With our commitment to the Department of Trade and Industry’s Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes, Metrofile is committed to societal transformation.
Our Transformation Vision aims to attract, develop, and retain a diverse workforce, reflective of South African demographics.
This mission is fueled by the purpose to positively impact the lives of people living in the communities within which we operate, sparking economic participation and sustainable transformation within the South African economy.
At Metrofile, Every Individual Matters.
We are dedicated to creating a diverse and transformed working environment, advocating appointments and promotions across all management levels that align with national demographics. Our focus extends into enabling long-term career progression with effective skills development programs specifically designed for the previously disadvantaged groups.
Empowering Communities
Our commitment to community betterment stretches beyond the workplace. From supporting early childhood development and basic education initiatives that prioritise reading, mathematics, science, and accounting, to uplifting small black-owned businesses in our supply chain, and sparking their inclusion into the mainstream economy – when it comes to societal upliftment, Metrofile is dedicated every step of the way.
Metrofile Socio-Economic Development (SED) Initiatives
At Metrofile, we understand that our responsibility extends far beyond our daily business operations.
We are devoted to fostering a sustainable, inclusive, and transformative environment within our communities – an mission that forms the core of our Socio-Economic Development (SED) Initiatives.
Early Childhood Development (ECD)
Our investment in ECD is generating promising patterns in promoting literacy and nurturing bright minds. Through our partnerships with various non-profit organisations, we’ve been able to sponsor and support exceptional initiatives that spur on a love for reading and learning among children aged 2-6 years.
Basic Education
We are actively engaged in facilitating quality education for children from Grade 7 to Grade 12, with a focus on Mathematics, Science, and Accounting. This is part of our long-term vision to feed into our Skills Development program, thereby moulding the future leaders in IT, Business Management, and Records Management related professions.
Economic and Community Support
We provide free storage services to qualifying non-profit organisations and lend ad-hoc support to related causes. By helping these organisations, we aim to better the lives of those in need and to bolster the work that is already being carried out by these incredible community members.
Supporting People Living with Disabilities
Recognising the specific needs and challenges faced by children living with disabilities, Metrofile is actively sponsoring educational initiatives for those aged 7–18 years. Our initiative is designed to empower these extraordinary children by providing them with the necessary tools for their development and achievements.
